Accessibility Statement (Updated 02/11/2025)

This is a hobby fan website for the game Petz. I am unaware of how much pages in our community have been adapted for the use of technology such as screen readers. A lot of the style of these websites are often based on early 00's technology, and a lot of that technology was not available in those days.

However, in my day-to-day life, I am an aspiring accessibility consultant. I simply do not feel comfortable creating a website that is not accessible to as many people as possible. I want everyone who wants to engage with Petz content to be able to do so.

I am disabled myself, which also may affect the rate in which these elements are implemented. Nonetheless, please be assured I'm doing my best to make DAPZ as accessibile as possible. I am DysAuDHD, which is dyslexia, autism and ADHD. These disabilities also affect the text I write and the consistency I have between pages.

I am currently working on the following implementations:

Providing text for images that is readable via screen-readers.

Ensuring text headers are correct and that text can be jumped to properly.

Providing hover-over text to accurately describe images.

Disabling animations if needed.

The ability to adjust to a variety of devices.

I will strive to do my best to make this site accessible for as many people as possible! I will be referencing the W3 WAI guidlines where possible.
